To Completion

"In a certain way I try to share with my readers my inner quest, that's basically my spiritual quest."

Well, I guess the vacation worked. On July 22, 2008, tWWL finally stopped fighting what felt oh so natural and featured one of my comments. When I found out, I rejoiced, laughed, cried, partied, came... It was a 15 minute period that none of my co-workers will soon forget.

Now what? What does one do when he has killed his White Wale? What I imagined would take years took forty-two attempts. It's the same experience I had with The Legend of Zelda. The only thing this quest has done for me is made me about a hundred times more bland...Perhaps I'm qualified for work at tWWL? Does CBS need a new Clark Judge? Is there demand for a white(er) Bryant Gumbel? I don't know.

"It would have been great to see the Shark win, but two in a row for harrington is pretty cool."

You have no idea how depressing it is to know that the above sentence is the most widely read piece of material I have ever written.

I need to find something to do.

Check back in the next few days as I figure out what to do with this site, and my life.

Congratulations, Cameron, I think!

I like to believe my little bit of espn commenter-ing during your break had a little something to do with your eventual success -- but that's because I'm a glory whore...

Good luck finding your next quest -- might I suggest seeing how quickly you can be banned from Deadspin? Although given the recent regime change that might not be too hard.

Thanks for the fun,
Jason

Wow, but you have to admit, that was your best attempt. Not smart enough to make any sort of coherant sense, and not so blithering stupid that it could have been written by retarded rhesus monkeys.

It would have been great to see the WWL intern win again, but one for cameron is pretty cool.

Wow, congrats! I've been reading since the beginning and while you've had some great efforts, this one probably deserves the feature over all of them.

This is more epic than the most epic JoeBait.

Again, congrats, and I look forward to the book.

I think you should try for another one.

I think the next quest should be something Wikipedia related. Maybe take a different professional athlete every week, and edit something in their wikipedia page to include something random and ridiculous. Nothing malicious or anything (IE nothing that would get you sued for libel), just something that would be so ridiculous it would have to be believed. Then see if the updated entry lasts one full week.

Too ambitious?

That's a good idea. I haven't even thought much about what i'm going to do next...been sitting on the beach for the last few days so it is hard to get motivated. I'm sure I'll have it figured out by next week, if not, I can just steal your idea now.

I've got it! Your next quest will be to create your own wikipedia page and see how long it lasts. Make up something about yourself, the more ridiculous the better
